We’re honored to highlight Larry Dux, a long-serving examiner with the Wisconsin Forward Award, whose career reflects an exceptional commitment to quality, healthcare transformation, and educational excellence.
Larry is the retired Director of Clinical Informatics Community Hospital Site Support at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he led efforts to improve healthcare operations through smart integration of clinical technology and data systems. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare informatics, Larry’s expertise spans process improvement, organizational strategy, and systems thinking.
Larry holds degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, alongside multiple industry-leading certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS); Certified Professional in Digital Health Transformation Strategy (CPDHTS): and Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner.
Beyond healthcare, Larry has served on the Pewaukee School District Board of Education since 2001, supporting the district’s performance excellence journey which resulted in the District achieving recognition at the Governor’s Award of Excellence Level in 2010 and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2013.
Larry has served as a Wisconsin Forward Award examiner since 2004, and has presented widely on the use of process improvement tools and taught healthcare informatics as an adjunct instructor at Mount Mary University.
